Performance Degradation issue on Customer Data Platform services
Issue: On January 23, 2025, at 00:51 UTC, the Salesforce Technology team identified a performance degradation issue impacting connectivity to the Customer Data Platform (CDP) services in the EU region resulting in increased response times to our Chatbot services. Impact: Customers in the EU region may have experienced intermittent connectivity to the Customer Data Platform service, which impacted Chatbot services. This resulted in slow responses from the Large Language Model (LLM ) and intermittently failed responses. ***** Update 2: Posted Thu, 23 Jan 2025 11:15:11 UTC After further investigation, the Technology teams have confirmed that the issue is resolved at 08:04 UTC. ***** Update 1: Posted Thu, 23 Jan 2025 09:02:27 UTC The team identified a capacity constraint and implemented a configuration change to scale up the CDP Admin services, creating the necessary capacity and mitigating the impact. As of 08:41 UTC, Technology teams have confirmed that the issue is resolved and Chatbot services have been restored.
